Info
Eschewing the usual heavily covered blues classics, the ethos of The Laura Holland Band is to bring lesser known, but historically significant songs of the era to a new audience. Great tracks such as Hey Now by Ray Charles, Talk to Me Baby by Elmore James and the Little Milton version of My Babe are mainstays of the set.
The band have recorded extensively at legendary London
studios such as Tin Pan Alley and Smokehouse, always working the old fashioned way with tape, valves, analogue and minimum overdubs. No use of Pro Tools or Autotune was permitted.
The live set has been honed through countless UK performances, including a residency at Proud Camden, and has become a slick, dynamic and highly entertaining show which receives positive reviews from every venue.
